My team went through the entrepreneurial Design Thinking Process and created a solution for students and recent grads who are looking to make connections and find work.

We realized that

1. There's a lack of guidance for finding internships and full-time positions as college students and recent grads.

2. There's challenges to find opportunities that are fully aligned with academic and professional goals.

Using these observations to guide us, we interviewed lots of people and refined our problem focus to challenges that students face in accessing and leveraging effective mentorship & networking opportunities to foster career advancement.

Our opportunity became to enhance mentorship accessibility and effectiveness while ensuring a fruitful experience for both mentees and mentors.

With this opportunity in mind, we developed multiple prototypes which we then would test with users to receive user feedback. We incorporated this feedback into future iterations and eventually landed on a holistic app for mentorship.

Features included:

- setting up compatible mentor and mentee pairs

- facilitating connection via virtual chat function

- providing an opportunity to define and track goals

- offering a section with networking tips and mentorship insights
